The Computer Science Department discussed the PhD dissertation titled "Speaker Profiling for Human-Robot Interaction" by PhD student Umnia Hamid Jaad on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in the late Dr. Abbas Fadel Abdulqader Hall in the annex building of the Computer Science Department. The dissertation aims to identify speaker features from voice and proposes two new algorithms for feature testing: the ascending selection algorithm and the fuzzy union algorithm. The proposed methods in the dissertation yield consistent results in extracting the speaker's age, height, and gender.
