Master's thesis in the Department of Computer Science discusses intrusion detection systems based on recursive neural networks while reducing recursive properties

- The Department of Computer Science discussed the Master's thesis tagged "Intrusion detection systems based on recursive neural networks while reducing recursive properties" for master's student Bilal Muhammad Matar Computer Science / Information Systems Tuesday 6/22/2021 in the discussion room in the building of the Department of Computer Science. The thesis discusses intrusion detection systems on the network and how to build the system on a stable dataset so that it suggests the system is effective with the chosen methods. The goal of the thesis is to propose an intrusion detection system based on recursive neural networks to identify attacks on the network, and an algorithm for reducing recursive properties is proposed to select a few features. The results obtained after applying the system were with a high accuracy of 98%. The discussion committee consisted of:

  • Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, President
  • Prof. Dr. Samer Saeed Issa Member
  • Prof. Dr.Adhraa Jassim Mohammed is a member
  • Prof. Dr. Ikhlas Khalaf Kabashi, member and supervisor
