The instructor in the Department of Computer Science, Professor Alaa Nuri Mezher, with the participation of a number of professors at the University of Baghdad / College of Science, obtained a patent for the design of an advanced system for detecting lung diseases and calculating its area using histological analysis. The idea of ​​the research depends on erosion and accumulation, and this process expands the study area to a bright and dark area depending on the shape and size of the sample studied. An electronic system was built by connecting the X-ray machine to the calculator by a data transmission cable. Doctors in the Ministry of Health and all health institutions took advantage of this technology by using this new technology to analyze x-ray images of the lungs of patients with tumors.
