The head of the Computer Science Department chaired a doctoral student's discussion committee on a thesis discussing the proposal to generate deep dreams using deep learning

- The Department of Computer Science discussed the doctoral thesis Proposed Deep Dream Generation using Deep Learning For the student (Lafta Rahim Ali), Computer Science/General, in the discussion room in the Computer Science Department building on Thursday, 10/26/2023. The thesis aims to propose new Deep Learning methods based on deep learning to generate images using new technologies. The thesis, which consists of five chapters, also discussed the production of images that simulate hallucinations experienced by addicts and patients with psychological disorders and cases of schizophrenia, in addition to producing images with striking artistic touches. It also provides The proposed system makes it possible to see the changes taking place within the hidden layers, and the images are expressive and aesthetic. The discussion committee consisted of the head of the Computer Science Department, Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, as chairman, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Yusra Hussein Ali, Prof. Dr. Iqbas Ezzedine Ali, Prof. Dr. Jane Jalil Estefan, and Prof. Dr. Hassanein Samir Abdullah. Dr. Ayad Rawdan Abbas, member and supervisor, and Prof. Dr. Abeer Salem Jamil, member and supervisor.
