The Department of Computer Science at the University of Technology awards a doctorate degree for the dissertation tagged (a new update of analogue encryption algorithms based on reduced polynomials for the Galois field)
The Department of Computer Science awarded a PhD to student Suhad Muhajir Karim for her thesis tagged (New update of
analogue encryption algorithms based on reduced polynomials for Galous Field)
Multi-level key encryption algorthim based on irreducible polynomials Galois Field
Wednesday 08/19/2020 in the discussion room in the building of the Computer Science Department. The discussion
committee consisted of:
- Prof. Dr. Ziad Tariq Mustafa as chairman
- Prof. Hala Bahjat Abdel-Wahab, member
- Prof. Alaa Kazem Farhan, member
- Prof. Nidaa Falih Hasan, member
- Prof. Muhammad Abdullah Nasser, member
- Prof. Abdel-Moneim Saleh Rahma, member and supervisor
The thesis aims to present a new development on analogue encryption algorithms (DES, Blowfish, Twofish, etc.)
AES, RC4 and MD5)
In addition to providing a hybrid between two algorithms (RC4 & MD5).
This is to enhance security. This is achieved by replacing the base binary operation (XOR) in each of these
algorithms' rounds with two new proposed operations. The first proposition is a new process called (#E) based on the
application of multi-state tables created based on the addition process in GF (2n) with variable size (n) blocks may
be (1, 2, 4 and 8 blocks). The second proposition represents another process called cyclic group # operation (CGE #)
with multi-state tables created based on the term irreducible polynomial group in GF (28). The two operations
require additional keys to control the number of bits and the tables used in Encryption and decryption. The proposed
algorithms were applied to text and images and were examined using a number of security criteria, including:
complexity, coding time, randomness assay (NIST), statistical gradient analysis, correlation coefficients, number of
change rate points (NPCR) and mean intensity of standard change (UACI)).

The lecturer, Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, from the Computer Science Department at the University of Technology, has published two papers in an international scientific journal
A court that is classified within the Clarfit database and at the first quarter level (q1) and has a high impact factor (IF) as this journal is one of the journals
Global discreet and does not accept research of scientific originality.
The first research titled "New improvement with active expansion to improve MD5 hash function for verifying secure electronic document" which summarizes
His idea is to enhance the MD5 algorithm by adding dynamic variable length and efficiency
High simulates the highest levels of safety available while a logistic system is used to encode DNA (RNA) by creation
A random array based on a new key created using different techniques.
As for the second research entitled "Improving the capability of the QR code by means of encrypted compression technology without losing data from the document."
The proposed algorithm includes a clear and simple plan to overcome this difficulty by entering confidential information
In a message QR code, the QR code is updated by adding levels that help to share secure messages

Acceptance of a teaching paper from the Computer Science Department at the University of Technology at the IEEE Conference held by the Islamic University in Najaf
A research paper by Professor Dr. Alaa Kadhem Farhan from the Computer Science Department at the University of
Technology was accepted in the Third International Conference on Engineering Technology and its Applications under
the sponsorship of IEEE, which is being held by the Islamic University in Najaf for the period (23-24) / August /
2020. The research is titled "A new mutual fund relying on chaos theory to encode images". The research aims to
design a new s-box, which in turn depends on chaos theories. The fact that this box has the power of nonlinearity
and it is very difficult to break it or find a numerical analysis for it. Therefore, if the power in forming
confusion would break the interconnection between the participants. And that it was used inside the color coding,
which diverged close color values, and the results of the coding were good and resisted most of the methods of
breaking and recovering the original image.

at the University of Technology, obtained an international certificate in e-learning after passing the professional
trainers training course that was established by the American IREX organization in cooperation with the Ministry of
Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministerial Team for e-learning. The certificate is characterized
by distinctive standards. It has fulfilled the requirements for e-learning because of its high efficiency in how
e-learning is managed. It should be noted that the course lasted for two months, in which more than a thousand
trainees from (79) governmental and private universities and colleges all over Iraq participated, as the course
included lectures on (concepts and methods of education, Google's G Suite for education package, and video
conference platforms / sharing services for communication. In the field of education).
