The President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghabban, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the Administrative Assistant in the Department of Computer Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi, in recognition of his dedicated and earnest efforts during his tenure on the committee overseeing the progress of teaching and the educational process in the evening studies for the current academic year 2023-2024, in light of the completion of his duties on this committee, wishing him success and prosperity.

The Dean of the Higher Institute for Security and Administrative Development expressed gratitude and appreciation to Assistant Professor Dr. Suheir Mohammed Zaki, a faculty member from the Department of Computer Science, in recognition of her diligent efforts in participating in the discussions of the 31st High Diploma course at the Institute, hoping for her continued contributions to the public good.

Under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, with the follow-up of the Scientific Assistant, Professor Dr. Abeer Tariq Mawlood, and the attendance of the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi, the Head of the Multimedia branch, Dr. Rana Mohammed Hassan, and students of the branch, the Department of Computer Science organized a workshop titled "Millennium Fellowship Program." The workshop was presented by the student Abdulqudus Hamed Musleh from the fourth stage of the Multimedia branch in the late Dr. Imad Kazem hall on Thursday, 2024/2/22. The workshop provided an explanation of the Millennium Fellowship Program, a grant offered by the United Nations specifically for undergraduate students who are not graduates, preferably from the early stages (first, second, and third years), and focuses on a main goal of the Sustainable Development Goals. The grant was launched for the first time in 2010. The idea of the grant is to form a group of students composed of 8 members who select a leader from among themselves, to be from the same university and from science and engineering disciplines, and are assigned to specific projects receiving video lectures guided by global experts. Applications for this grant are submitted through a special link. At the end of the workshop, the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi, awarded a certificate of appreciation to the student lecturer in recognition of his efforts in delivering the lecture.

A group of fourth-year students from the Multimedia branch in the Department of Computer Science presented a bouquet of flowers and thanks to the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, and the administrative staff in his office today, Thursday, 2024/2/22, in the presence of the Head of the Multimedia branch, Dr. Rana Mohammed Hassan. This gesture was in appreciation of his distinguished efforts to rehabilitate the laboratories to match the scientific stature of our department and our beloved university.

Faculty and students from the Department of Computer Science participated in a workshop hosted by Network Horizon Company, focusing on Dahua Technology's global network solutions, on Tuesday, 2024/2/20, at the company's headquarters. The workshop included presentations on new methods of managing network devices.
