- Under the presence of the head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, the Educational Guidance Unit in the Computer Science Department held a meeting with first-year students, attended by the head of the Information Systems Branch, Associate Professor Dr. Ikhlas Faleh Nasser, the head of the Software Branch, Associate Professor Dr. Adhraa Jassim Mohammed, and the director of the Educational Guidance Unit, Dr. Mohammed Ghani, on Wednesday, 2024/3/13, in the late Dr. Imad Kadhim hall in the Computer Science Department building. During the meeting, the department head emphasized the necessity of adhering to modest attire and maintaining good behavior within the university, attending lectures, participating in activities and events organized by the department, and paying attention to personal hygiene. He also highlighted the importance of communicating with the subcommittees of the Educational Guidance Unit if needed.

- Coinciding with the initiation of the tree planting initiative to combat desertification by the Prime Minister Engineer Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, and in execution of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's plan which designated March 12th as National Tree Planting Day, under the supervision and presence of the head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, along with the participation of the head of the Multimedia Branch, Dr. Rana Mohammed Hassan, and the director of the Department of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations, Teacher Taiba Walaa Al-Din Khairy, students from the Computer Science Department commenced their activities. Multimedia Branch students designed event-specific posters and displayed them in the department's garden to achieve sustainable development goals and increase green spaces.

- Under the patronage of the head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, and in line with the principle of tree planting and gardening at the university on National Tree Planting Day, third-year Information Systems students in the Computer Science Department planted 20 seedlings in the department's garden. The activity was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suheir Mohammed Zaki, a faculty member in the Computer Science Department, as part of the department's student volunteer efforts.

- Within the student activities of the Computer Science Department, first-year students of the Multimedia branch, under the supervision of the branch head Dr. Rana Mohammed Hassan and the Director of the Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations Department Dr. Taiba Waleed Al-Din Khairy, carried out a volunteer awareness campaign by creating posters about the importance of trees and their impact on the environment, considering it one of the goals of sustainable development. In the same context, the fourth-year student Milad Dreed generated images using artificial intelligence on the same topic.

- Within the framework of the twinning agreement between the Software Engineering branch of the Computer Science Department at the Technological University and the Department of Computer Science at Baghdad College of Economic Sciences, a delegation from the teaching staff of the Department of Computer Science at Baghdad College of Economic Sciences visited the Computer Science Department at the Technological University on Monday, 2024/3/11. They were received by the Scientific Assistant Professor Dr. Abeer Tariq Mawlud, Head of the Software Engineering branch Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Jasim Mohammed, Head of the Multimedia branch Dr. Rana Mohammed Hassan, and the teaching staff of the department. During the meeting, there was a discussion with the teaching staff of the corresponding subjects included in the joint exam between the two departments, which had been previously agreed upon, and topics related to this matter were discussed.
