Visit of the Head of the Computer Science Department as part of the University of Technology delegation to the National Data Center affiliated with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
On Tuesday, 11th June 2024, the Head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, visited the National Data Center affiliated with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers as part of a delegation from the University of Technology. The delegation included the Head of the Computer Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan, the Director of the Information Technology Center, Lect. Ali Abdulrazaq Tarish, and Dr. Amir Musa from the Control and Systems Engineering Department. The purpose of the visit was to review the Data Center, understand the nature of the electronic services it provides, and recognize the importance of the stored data. The delegation also examined the modern equipment and discussed future visions for mutual cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two sides.

The Computer Science Department begins emptying the last storage of cooling and air conditioning equipment.
Under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi and the manager of storage division, the Computer Science Department has begun emptying the last storage room of the department, which contains cooling and air conditioning equipment, for the purpose of handing it over to the university storage department.

Professor Alia Kareem Abdulhassan, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Computer Science, participated in the First Annual Forum for Editors-in-Chief of Iraqi Scientific Journals held at Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq University on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
The forum aimed to discuss the key criteria for including humanities journals published in Arabic in the Scopus database, enhance the quality of scientific research and academic publishing in Iraq, improve communication between the editorial boards of scientific journals, and promote their inclusion in global databases.

Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi, the Administrative Assistant in the Computer Science Department, participated as a member of the preparatory committee for the closing ceremony of the Jusoor Program, held from June 5-6, 2024, at the University of Technology. The event, held under the slogan "Bridges Towards a Promising Digital Future for Iraqi Youth," aimed to equip Iraqi youth with skills that qualify them for the job market. The Jusoor Program began as part of an agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the World Food Programme.

The Head of the Computer Science Department Attends the Opening of the Job Fair with the Participation of Over Forty Companies and Institutions in Collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme at the University of Technology
Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, Head of the Computer Science Department, attended the opening of the Job Fair, which saw the participation of over forty companies and institutions. The event was part of the Bridges 2024 program for training and preparing job-seeking youth, under the patronage of the esteemed Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and supported by the World Food Programme (WFP) in collaboration with the University of Technology. The fair took place on the university campus from June 5-6, 2024.
The event was also attended by Ms. Sima Hassan, Head of the Graduate Follow-up, Training, and Employment Unit, and Ms. Manar Musab, Head of the Training Unit in the Qualification, Employment, and Follow-up Division.
It was a remarkable day for the University of Technology, highlighted by the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and many distinguished figures, including the German Ambassador.
