Under the auspices of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, and with the attendance of the Administrative Assistant in the Computer Science Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi, and the department's staff, the Computer Science Department organized a workshop on risk management and the implementation of an emergency plan according to the ISO: 45001/2018 standard. The workshop took place from April 23, 2024, to April 24, 2024, in the late Dr. Abbas Fadhel Abdul Qader Hall in the annex building of the Computer Science Department. The lecture was delivered by the expert consultant Majed Ahmed Ali and the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi. This workshop is significant as it combines educational and practical aspects, explaining the emergency plan that will be adopted to minimize losses from expected incidents in accordance with the ISO: 45001/2018 standard. This plan includes the evacuation of human resources and public properties, first aid, and firefighting, with a live practice of the workshop to be conducted in the coming days. At the end of the workshop, the Administrative Assistant awarded the lecturer a certificate of appreciation in recognition of his efforts in delivering this lecture.
