Among the activities of the Division of Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up at the University of Technology is holding introductory seminars for the academic year 2023-2024, which target students of the graduating classes at the University of Technology for the purpose of introducing them to the objectives and activities of the Division and recruitment mechanisms and preparing them before graduation to work in private sector companies and the Iraqi labor market. A symposium was held in the Department of Computer Science today, Sunday, October 22, 2023, in the discussion room, according to the schedule established by the Presidency of the University of Technology, with the students of the final stage of the lecturer, Professor Muhammad Al-Bayati, and under the direct supervision of the head of the department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, in the presence of the scientific assistant, Professor Dr. Abeer. Tariq Mouloud, the administrative assistant, assistant professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi, the director of the Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations Division, Taiba teacher Walaa Al-Din Khairy, the director of the graduate follow-up unit, assistant teacher Simaa Hassan, and the director of the training unit, assistant teacher Manar Musab.

Computer Science Department students achieved advanced positions in the finals of the University of Technology Sports Championship held at the university’s stadiums on Thursday, 10/19/2023. The student, Dania Ahmed Fadel, from the Information Systems Branch/fourth stage, got second place in the university table tennis championship, and the student Nizar Sharif, from the Computer Security and Cyber Security Branch/third stage, got third place in the university chess championship.

In the presence of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, five-year seminars for master’s students in the department and for all specializations were held on Thursday, 10/19/2023, in the discussion room in the Computer Science Department building, where the five-member committees for the department’s teaching staff with the scientific titles of professor and assistant professor were divided into five. Groups according to the specialization of student projects, which are committees (Systems Software Committee - Computer Security Committee - Network Management Committee - Multimedia Committee) The discussion included giving valuable scientific notes to the students in the presence of supervisors.

Under the direct supervision of the Department Head, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan Students of the Computer Science Department, Information Systems Branch/Fourth Stage, visited the department’s library in the morning to learn about its books and their contents, including theses and dissertations, and to urge students on the necessity of communicating with books and the library.
