Prof. Dr. Iyad Hazem Ibrahim, and Dr. Heba Basim Alwan) from the Department of Computer Science. This recognition is for their outstanding efforts and significant contributions in successfully launching the inaugural (zero) issue of the Department of Computer Science's journal. Their dedication reflects a high sense of responsibility. The President wishes them continued success in serving science, education, and our esteemed university.

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, the team from the Ministerial Committee, tasked with reviewing the establishment of a PhD program in Data Security, visited the Department of Computer Science. The team was received by Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, Head of the Department; Prof. Dr. Abeer Tareq Mouloud, Scientific Assistant; and Assist. Prof. Dr. Iyad Hazem Ibrahim, Head of the Computer Security and Cybersecurity Branch. The visit included meetings with the department staff, a tour of the classrooms, laboratories, and the department library, and an assessment of the availability of scientific resources. At the end of the visit, the committee praised the efforts of the Department of Computer Science leadership, represented by the Head of the Department, in developing and updating graduate programs. Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, Head of the Department, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the committee members, acknowledging their sincere efforts in establishing solid foundations for higher education.
