Head of the Department of Computer Science chairs the delegation of the University of Technology in the presence of the panel discussion held by the Board of Commissioners of the Media and Communications Commission
On Sunday 01/30/2022, the Head of the Computer Science Department, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, headed the delegation of the University of Technology in the presence of the panel discussion held by the Council of Commissioners of the Media and Communications Commission and tagged "The Age of Information Technology... Characteristics and Effects" in order to prepare for a conference on information technology and its use.
She was accompanied by the scientific assistant in the department, Dr. Noha Jamil Ibrahim, and in the presence of many personalities, professors, and academics with various specializations, for the purpose of sharing visions and special ideas for the conference scheduled to be held at the end of March. Several main themes were addressed, including digital transformation in Iraq, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

The Department of Computer Science discussed the master's thesis tagged Video Steganogrphy using Encryption Test Based on PVD
Hiding an encrypted message in video frames based on pixel value difference (PVD)
For the student (Huda Ghazi Abdel-Saheb), computer science/software in the discussion room in the building of the Computer Science Department.
The goal of the message is to create a system that allows two parties to send and receive video, and this video includes sensitive documents with high security in the transmission process, in addition to achieving a high percentage of the embedding process.
This thesis discussed the use of powerful techniques for the purpose of hiding important data inside the video without affecting the quality of the video so as not to be suspected of hidden data in it.

The university committee formed to check the base records (Master Sheet) headed by the Director of Registration and students at the University of Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Sodad Essam Younes visited the Computer Science Department on Thursday 27/1/2022 to check the base records (Master Sheet) to show the extent to which the instructions for the examination committees are applied and to see the The foundation records. In the presence of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, the Registration Director in the Computer Science Department, Mr. Miqdad Fadel, and members of the Examination Committees.
In conclusion, the committee commended the efforts made by the heads of the branches and made some observations to work on in the future.
