- The instructor in the Department of Computer Science, Computer Security Branch, Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, received a certificate of appreciation from the University of Iraq College in appreciation of his efforts in evaluating research in its first scientific conference for communications and information technology, which is held under the auspices of the IEEE Foundation. In the same context, the teaching professor, Dr. Alaa Kazim, received a certificate of appreciation from the beei magazine, and their recognition that the teacher was a permanent resident in the magazine for evaluating a number of researches. He also received a certificate of appreciation from the Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in appreciation of his efforts in evaluating a number of research papers and their recognition of the fact that the instructor is a permanent resident in the journal.

- The head of the Department of Computer Science, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, attended the celebration of the presidency of the University of Technology, which was held under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, on the occasion of the university’s obtaining the first place on the Iraqi universities according to the British Times classification in Asia, and in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Abed Dad and the heads of departments. The President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, said in his speech that the University of Technology was able, during a record period, to present many scientific researches in order to rise the ranking ladder and improve our position among universities globally.

- The students of the Department of Computer Science began to resume integrated education after the recent ministerial instructions and with a distinguished presence, as the laboratories of the Department of Computer Science witnessed extensive preparations in order to receive students with full compliance with health and safety conditions. Under the direct supervision of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, in order to continue the success of the current academic year 2020-2021.

- The Training and Laboratories Center received students of the first stage of the Department of Computer Science with students of other scientific and engineering departments at the University of Technology, after the recent ministerial instructions to resume blended education. Full compliance with all health and safety conditions, as the center and its advanced staff were keen on the success of electronic training and achieving great results that reflected the professionalism of the training process for the center’s management.
