The Department of Computer Science organizes a cultural workshop on violence against women
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, and in cooperation with the Women Empowerment Unit, the Department of Computer Science organized the cultural workshop tagged “violence against women” on Tuesday 12/7/2021 in the discussion room in the building of the Department of Computer Science for trainer Laila Shahid Hassan and in the presence of the head of the Department of Science Computer Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, scientific assistant Dr. Noha Jamil Ibrahim, administrative assistant Dr. Bashar Saadoun, director of the Women’s Empowerment Unit, engineer Zina Hafeez Al-Sabbagh, and a large number of faculty members, affiliates and students in the department. .
The workshop dealt with many topics, including gender-based violence and its concept, types and forms of violence, causes and consequences of violence.
The workshop witnessed a great interaction between the attendees and the trainer, and in the end, pictures were taken, and the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan, expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Director of the Women Empowerment Unit, Engineer Zina Hafeez Al-Sabbagh, and the trainer, Laila Shahid Hassan, for their efforts to make this workshop a success.

Department of Computer Science First in the President's Cup Table Tennis Tournament
The student Abdullah Rashid Ali (Abdullah Al-Idrisi) from the Network Administration Branch in the Department of Computer Science won the first place in the Cup of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban with table tennis (male-female), which was held by the Student Activities Department at the university for a period from 6 to December 8, 2021, in the presence of the University President’s Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Hussein Hamid Karim, and the Administrative Assistant in the Computer Science Department, Dr. Bashar Saadoun. At the end of the tournament, the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim, handed the championship cup to the Administrative Assistant in the Computer Science Department, Dr. Bashar Saadoun.
