The student Ali Riyad Ahmed from the Department of Computer Science participated as a key player in the Iraqi national team for bicycles (category (advanced, youth and juniors) in the Arab Championship for road, mountain bike and bicycle for people with disabilities held in the United Arab Emirates (Sharjah) and achieved good results in the championship where Iraq was able to win Seven medals, four of them gold and three bronze, and Iraq ranked fourth in terms of the number of medals won.
