The Head of the Department of Computer Science, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel Hassan, participated in the celebration of the International Day of Communication and the Information Society, which was held by the National Security Advisor, Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, in cooperation with the Communications and Media Authority, on Wednesday 17/5/2023 in the hall of Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Communications, Dr. Hiyam Al-Yasiri and gentlemen heads of departments in universities with specialization. Where the world celebrates on the seventeenth of May of each year the International Day of Communication and the Information Society to help raise awareness of the importance of communication and information technology in human life. The conference aims to enhance opportunities in the field of digital technology for all people to help bridge the digital divide and contribute to achieving the agreed development goals Internationally, and raise awareness of what the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies can achieve for countries and states.
