A PhD thesis in the Department of Computer Science discusses extracting the moving scene background in video surveillance using average fuzzy summation and cosine similarity

- The Department of Computer Science discussed the doctoral dissertation tagged Dynamic Background Extraction In Video Surveillance Based On Artificail Intelligent Technique by doctoral student Maryam Abdel-Rahim Yasser on the discussion hall in the building of the Department of Computer Science. The thesis aims to build a new model for extracting the moving scene background in video surveillance systems, and very good results were obtained with very small error rates. The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sahib Mahdi as Chairman, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Ziyad Muhammad Abboud, Dr. Tariq Ahmed Rashid, Prof. Dr. Ayad Rawdan Abbas, and Prof. Dr. Rahim Abdel-Saheb Akla and Prof. Yousra Hussein Ali, members and supervisor.
