The Department of Computer Science discussed the doctoral thesis Link Analysis In Web Information Retrieval Using Pattern Mining For the student (Israa Qassem Nimah), Computer Science/General, today, Monday, 10/30/2023, in the discussion room in the Computer Science Department Annex building. The thesis aims to enhance the understanding of web information retrieval (IR) by taking advantage of three components: first, text content analysis, second, hyperlink analysis, and third, user log file analysis, in order to achieve a more accurate and effective classification of web pages, which leads to more accurate results. The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Diaa Abdel Hussein Jumaa as Chairman, and Prof. Dr. Shaima Hamid Shaker, Prof. Dr. Rehab Falih Hassan, Prof. Israa Tahseen Ali, and Prof. Rahim Abdel-Saheb Okla as members.
