Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and under the direct supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies, Professor Dr. Khawla Salah Khshan, the first activities of the English Language Reading and Speaking Forum at the University of Technology were launched. The event took place in the conference hall of the Computer Engineering Department, with the participation of many students from various stages and departments of the University of Technology. The importance of the forum lies in reflecting the significance of the English language in the modern era, its role in communication with the outside world, acquiring knowledge, and enhancing employment opportunities in the Iraqi labor market. The forum will hold its upcoming sessions regularly to discuss books and articles, organize reading and speaking competitions, and invite English language experts to participate in seminars and workshops as part of its upcoming programs during the summer break in collaboration with the Central Library of the University of Technology. In conclusion, the Career Development and Employment Division expresses its gratitude to the presidency of the University of Technology for supporting activities that contribute to developing students' skills and enhancing their abilities.
