A Master's Thesis in the Computer Science Department Discusses a Framework for Real-Time Face Recognition and Tracking Using a Convolutional Neural Network

- The Computer Science Department discussed the Master's thesis titled "A Real-Time Face Recognition and Tracking Framework Using Lightweight Convolutional Neural Network" by Master's student Aseel Wadood Majeed on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, in the late Dr. Abbas Fadel Abdulqader Hall in the annex building of the Computer Science Department. The thesis aims to develop a framework for real-time face recognition using a lightweight CNN, taking into account challenges related to facial images such as variations in lighting and expressions, which affect the application and recognition results. The examination committee consisted of: Prof. Iqbas Ezzedine Ali (Chair) Assist. Prof. Asmaa Sadiq Abdul Jabbar (Member) Assist.
