The Department of Computer Science discussed the Master's thesis titled "Improved Forensics Analysis Using Deep Learning for Object Detection in the Internet of Things" by Master's student Rasul Zahid Kamil (Computer Science / General) on Monday, 2024/9/16, in the late Dr. Imad Kazem’s hall in the Computer Science Department building.
The thesis aims to provide insightful approaches to criminal investigation, focusing particularly on data analysis, protecting findings, and developing a system capable of predicting fake images from real ones using deep learning techniques.
The thesis concluded that the algorithms used significantly enhance the prediction of fake images, emphasizing the high accuracy achieved.
The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Hameed Shaker as the chairperson, with members Assist. Prof. Dr. Omar Abdul-Karim Jassim, Assist. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Gathwan, Prof. Dr. Abeer Tareq Mawlood as a member and supervisor, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Iyad Hazem Ibrahim as a member and supervisor.
