The Computer Science Department organizes a workshop on the graduate student monitoring system.
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghaban, and the supervision of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kadhom Farhan, the Computer Science Department organized a workshop titled "Graduate Student Monitoring System." The workshop was attended by the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kadhom Farhan; the Administrative Assistant, Associate Professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi; the Director of the Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations Division, Dr. Anmar Ali; the Head of the Planning Division, Assistant Lecturer Rasha Mohammed Mohsen; faculty members; and graduate students. It took place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, in the late Dr. Imad Kadhom Hall in the department building.
The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Fadel Abbas Fadel, a member of the University of Technology Central Automation Committee and a faculty member in the department. The session covered how to convert the graduate student paper forms into an electronic system based on a request from the Scientific Assistant. This system enables faculty to monitor student progress, create research plans, track completion percentages, assess students, prepare theoretical aspects of the research, display details, and update student information in case of errors. The system also allows setting the date of the defense, tracking whether amendments were made, and presenting the student’s academic record to the supervisor.
At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the members of the Graduate Student System Committee in the department in recognition of their efforts in delivering this lecture.
