A master's thesis in the Department of Computer Science discusses Arabic language modeling for predicting next words using deep learning.
The master's student Murtadha Adnan Aboud, Computer Science/General, defended his thesis on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in the Dr. Imad Kazem Memorial Hall at the Computer Science Department building.
The thesis aims to provide insights into the important topic of language modeling, with a focus on Arabic language modeling. It develops a system capable of accurately predicting subsequent words in Arabic using deep learning techniques. The thesis concluded that hybrid models enhance the prediction of Arabic words and highlighted the effectiveness of combining deep learning structures to address the complexities of Arabic text.
The discussion committee consisted of:
Prof. Dr. Aliaa Kareem Abdulhassan (Chair)
Asst. Prof. Dr. Khaled Shakir Jassim (Member)
Asst. Prof. Dr. Athraa Jassim Mohammed (Member)

A master's thesis in the Department of Computer Science discusses the proposal of an online authentication system that focuses on data privacy and enhances the security of the authentication process.
The Department of Computer Science discussed the master's thesis entitled "Improving Data Privacy Based On Zero-Knowledge Proof Technique" by the student Sajjad Mohammed Shallaka (Computer Science / General) on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, in the late Dr. Imad Kazem Hall at the Department of Computer Science building.
The thesis aims to propose an online authentication system that focuses on data privacy and enhances the security of the authentication process. The results demonstrated that the proposed system provides a high level of security and reliability, showing effectiveness in segmenting, transmitting, encrypting, and securely storing information within the database, as evidenced by time tests, avalanche effect, and entropy.
The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Bashar Maki Naama as the head, and members Prof. Dr. Ikhlas Khalaf Kabashi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suhair Mohammed Zaki, and Prof. Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdulwahab as a member and supervisor.
