The graduate follow-up unit in the Department of Computer Sciences, in cooperation with the "Moon Gate for Information and Communication Technologies", held a workshop entitled "Student Life after Graduation / the latest technologies in the world of technology". Wednesday, 21/11/2018. with the atendance of the head of Computer Sciences Department Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab, the workshop addressed many topics including the role of training courses in the rehabilitation of graduates and follow them to be ready to engage in the market place as well as access to global conferences attended by the Moon Gate company to keep abreast of the latest developments and delivery to graduates, the most recent conference Gatix 2018 in the United Arab Emirates The vacuum in the labor market for the public and private sectors. In conclusion, a draw was made of the names of the participants of the university students were announced the names of the winners prizes were distributed to them.

The Educational and Health Guidance Unit in the Department of Computer Sciences held a seminar on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year 2018-2019 for the students of the morning study, Thursday, 19/11/2018 at the discussion room in the department and in the presence of the head of computer sciences department. Dr Hala Bahjat Abdel Wahab, the Administrative Assistant Dr. Ayad Roudhan, the Scientific Assistant Dr. Soukiena Hassan Hashem and Director of Educational Unit Dr. Abdul Mohsen Jaber Abdul-Hussein, where the following topics were discussed:

Computer Sciences Department held a welcoming party for the students of the first level / the evening study for the academic year 2018-2019 Sunday 18/11/2018 at the discussion room in the department in the presence of the head of computer sciences department. Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab, the Scientific Assistant Dr Sokaena Hassan Hashem, the Administrative Assistant Dr. Ayad Rawdan, the heads of the branches, the director of the educational guidance unit, the department's supervisor, the first students of last year, and the first graduates employed in the department.

The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the head of the department expressing her joy in the number of students applying to the department this year. The announcement of the names of the admissions in all branches and the minimum admission limits was announced. The head of the department indicated that the sequence of the branches was given precedence in establishing the branch. the study in the department require great competition wishing to our dear students a successful academic year.

Dr, Rana Fared from the department of computer sciences participated in the discussion of the Master's Thesis for the student (Zainab Karim Abdullah) from Al-Mustansiriya University / Faculty of Education for her research titled (Home Control System through the internet of things) on Monday 12/11/2018 in Rafidain Hall / Faculty of Education.

The Department of Computer Science held a welcoming party for students of the first stage of the academic year 2018-2019 on Wednesday 7/11/2018 and the discussion room in the department in the presence of the head of computer sciences department. Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and the Scientific Assistant Dr. Soukaina Hassan Hashem and the Administrative Assistant Dr. Iyad Rawdan, the heads of the branches, the director of the educational guidance unit, the department's supervisor, the top students of last year, and the top graduates employed in the department.

The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the head of the department expressing her joy at the number of students applying for the department this year especially since the Department of Computer Sciences occupies a distinguished position for its scientific branches in the preliminary studies and postgraduate studies. The head of the department indicated that the sequence of the branches was done according to precedence in the establishment of the branch and that to success in the de[artment needs competition In conclusion, sweets were distributed to new students wishing them a successful academic year the students were distributed in groups led by the teaching staff of the department to identify the buildings of the department and its classrooms and laboratory.
