Master Thesis Discussion of the student Safa Abdul Jalil
The student Safa Abdul Jalil Ibrahim received her master degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis entitled (Document Clustering and Classification Using AI techniques). The thesis proposed a system that includes monitoring and non-monitoring techniques, which provides an improved method of assembly as an unattended system and a suggested method of classification as a monitoring system.The system works in three stages, starting with the processing phase, which improves the documentation. It is known that all documents contain unwanted symbols, numbers and words, in addition to multiple forms for each term, which causes confusion of the system. Therefore, the processing phase improves the documentation for the best possible results. the discussion was on Thursday 21/2/2018 and the discussion hall in the department. The discussion committee was composed of Dr. Hassanein Samir Abdullah and Dr. Ayad Rowdan Abbas from the University of Technology / Department of Computer Sciences and (Dr. Jen Jalil Esteifan) from the University of Information and Communication Technology.

Google Apps in Education Workshop and E-Learning Activation in the department
Under the supervision of the Head of Computer Sciences Department Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab, A workshop on Google Apps in Education and the mechanisms of activating E-learning was held in the Department of Computer Sciences on Monday 20 February 2018, where the introductory lecture was given by the Instructor and Chairman of the E-Learning Committee in the Department of Computer Sciences. Asst. Lect. Saif Bashar. The lecture was a two-part lecture. The first part showed the importance of using the free applications provided by Google, which are available associated with the teacher's official email such as (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Hangout, Calendar, Translate, Sites, Keep, Forms). These free applications provide many services that help teachers work and increase their work efficiency. a Live Demo given by a simple presentation on how to access and use some of these applications.
In the second part of the lecture, the Google Classroom application was presented, through which e-learning will be activated in accordance with the directives of the university presidency. The application interfaces were explained and how to use them and benefiting from the multiple services provided by it as an application that creates a special virtual learning environment between teachers and students.
The workshop was attended by the head of the department. Dr. Hala Bahgat and the Associate Scientific Assistant Dr. Alia Karim and Assistant Administrative Assistant Dr. Iyad Rohdan and the heads of the branches and a large number of staff. In conclusion, the opening of the discussion and answer the multiple questions that enriched the lecture.
This workshop was the first step in E-Learning where the department will proceed in the next step by providing its student with an official e-mail in cooperation with the Information Technology Center and educating the students to use this environment and the success of the experiment to serve the scientific level of the Department of Computer Science and the University of Technology.

Discussion of Master Thesis of the student Zainab Ali
The student Zainab Ali Yaqoub received her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis titled "Hybrid Technique to Improve Face Image Recognition" This work takes advantage of some important methods of discrimination and hybridization in order to get the best results in less time and build an integrated system In order to reach the highest distinction of faces. The first phase is the phase of loading images from the database and analyzing them into their three main colors (red, green and blue). The second stage is to improve the images and remove the noise using Har wavelet. The second is the compressed database. The third stage is to extract the important characteristics of the images and use them to distinguish using two methods: analysis of the main components and analysis of the individual value. the discussion was on Sunday, 18/2/2018, and in the discussion hall in the department. The discussion committee was composed of Dr. Abdul Amir Abdullah Karim and Dr. Rana Farid Ghani from the University of Technology / Department of Computer Sciences and (Dr. Jen Jalil Esteifan) from the University of Information and Communication Technology.

Field visit of a delegation from the Department of Computer Sciences to the Iraqi House Foundation for creativity
A number of the deoartment staff and students visited the institution of the House of Iraqi creativity in Palestine Street on Thursday, February 15, 2018 . at the reception Mr. Hisham Al Dahabi, who runs this institution welcomed the visitors and it is worth mentioning that this house was created by Mr. Hisham for the cases of homeless children in the streets and children of family disintegration, where they are joined to his institution, turning them into good and talented people. It was a special day for everyone, where symbolic gifts were distributed to the children, lunch with them, taking souvenirs and playing some popular games that delighted the children and painted the smile on their faces.

Master Thesis Discussion for the student Walaa' Dhia Abdul Ghafoor
The student (Walaa' Dhia Abdel Ghafour) obtained her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis (Generating Pattern Using GA for Digital Image Watermarking). The student spoke about the digital watermark is the technique of embedding the watermark in different types of digital content such as video, audio and image to preserve the contents of the reproduction or unauthorized copying and this study provided a proposed water method used to protect images from tampering by attackers and other third parties In addition to several mechanisms that have been able to achieve the maximum strength and inconceivably. It was on Sunday, February 14, 2018, and in the discussion room in the building of the department. The discussion committee was composed of Prof. Dr. Hassanein Samir Abdullah and Dr. Abeer Tariq Mouloud from the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department.
