- A seminar was held in the Department of Computer Sciences by Al Ain Foundation for Social Welfare on Wednesday 4/4/2018 at the discussion hall in the department in the presence of the Head of the Department. Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and the faculty members and students. During which the activities of the foundation were reviewed since its establishment in 2006 and with the blessing and the patronage of the supreme religious authority Ali Al-Sistani. The institution works as a mediator in guaranteeing the orphans by providing information about the orphan who needs to guarantee and determine the amount that meets the needs of the orphans and In how to spend the amount and follow up the orphan's health, psychological and educational where the ladies who wish to donate to attend to one of the branches of the institution deployed in Baghdad and the provinces and outside the country or request a fund of different shapes and sizes from the headquarters of the Foundation.




It is worth mentioning that this institution provides these donations for the treatment of orphans and provide health support for them and provide financial and in-kind assistance and the construction of residential complexes and vocational training centers and the relief of displaced families and migration and the distribution of aid and the establishment of rehabilitation centers and psychological counseling to diagnose problems and find solutions, To orphans to contribute to the construction of the orphan child's character. In conclusion, a documentary film about the Foundation's activities and activities was presented.

- The student (Shatha Habib Jafar) obtained her doctorate degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis entitled (Proposal for the development of web services of things) The student's thesis deals with the subject of the Internet and things to be used in various practical means in general and in the field of E-Health which is special is just a timely learning purpose for providing comprehensive, individualized, dynamic, real-time content that intensifies knowledge communities, connecting patient and doctors with experts. E-health is one of the most important services that need WoT benefits such as speed, security and low cost. As shown above, the direction of the thesis is how to propose a development of WoT for e-Health. It was on Sunday, 04.01.2018, and at the discussion hall the department. - The student Shahad Fhadil has obtained her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis titled "Electronic Crime for Identification of the Author of an Instant Message Using Viper". In this thesis, the researcher reached new technological methods of e-forensic to confront the continued anonymity and fraud, The anonymity of the Internet has made it difficult to trace criminal identity. Criminals use virtual characters to hide their real identities, in IM. A type of user communication in many legitimate activities of conversations and exchange of messages, can also be misused by various means to hide the inherent security risks and malicious tendencies. There are various reasons the attacker may want to pretend as someone else, including privacy, espionage and bad intentions. Electronic forensics techniques are essential to help identify cybercriminals as part of a criminal investigation, including gender identification, writing habits and stalemetrics. This thesis uses statistical methods such as Pearson correlation coefficient model, Euclidean distance analysis for Viber message chat and Enron message to identify sender identity using neural networks. This was on Thursday 29/3/2018 and on the discussion hall in the department. The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Abdel Moneim Saleh Rahma and Dr. Abeer Tariq of the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department. - The Head of Computer Sciences Department Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab attended the (33) meeting of the deans of computer science and information technology departments of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at the University of Basra College of Computer Science and Information Technology on Thursday, 29-3-2018. The committee discussed some of the topics that contribute to the development of higher education and scientific research in our beloved Iraq, including the opening of new scientific departments in the Iraqi universities and the mechanism of developing the scientific curricula, and discussed some matters concerning the Deans' Committee.

- The student Ahmed Oday Ezzat received his master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for his thesis titled "New Method for Protecting the Database Using Rhythm in Writing". The work in this thesis examines the name and password of the user to increase the application security. The cube key is one of the methods that use the key point randomly to create a new name for the user name that is connected with the time log when accessing the database. Methods of dynamic keystroke, as a biometric authentication method that does not require external devices and were famous techniques, which are certified using the analysis of its rhythmic typography. This way, the attack becomes less dangerous because the password in addition to the rhythm writing must match the storage of the key patterns. This was on Tuesday 27/3/2018 and on the discussion hall in the department. The discussion committee was composed of: Dr. Abdul Mohsen Jaber Abdul-Hussein and Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan of the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department And Dr. Sarab Majeed Humaid from Baghdad University / Faculty of Science / Department of Computer Science.
