- The student Sara Mohammed Sherif received her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis (A Proposed Algorithm to Decrease False Alarm in Intrusion Detection System) the thesis presented a proposed algorithm for deep analysis of the network intrusion detection system Which is a combination of various data extraction techniques for accurate diagnosis of attacks and with the least false alarm rate. The proposed system involves the use of three mining techniques on three consecutive levels: at the first level, the simple hypothetical NB algorithm is used to detect abnormal activity from normal behavior. In the second level, the logistic regression algorithm is used to classify abnormal activity into the four main attack types To the natural activity category. Finally, at the third level, ID3 resolution tree uses an algorithm to classify four major attack types into (22) intrusion attacks in addition to normal activity. To evaluate the motion system KDDCUP99 uses the standard data set for intrusion detection.

The proposed system is based on the application of the processing phase, which includes data conversion and the technique of selecting the most important characteristics, in order to increase the accuracy of the system and reduce the time. This was on Thursday 19/4/2018 and on the discussion room in the department. The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Abdel Moneim Saleh Rahma and Dr. Rahab Falih Hassan of the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department and Dr. Haidar Kazem Hamoud of Al Mustansiriya University / Faculty of Education. / Department of Computer Science in the presence of the supervisor of the student (Dr Soukaina Hassan Hashim).

- The student (Taghreed Abdel Hameed Issa) received her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis (proposal of a system for safe electronic education in the Android environment). This thesis is presented in the application of e-learning, In the Ministry of Education in our country, by integrating the concept of education through the application of mobile phone with the provision of privacy and security, to create a new security level with this system. With this application, students will be able to learn anywhere, anytime, and safely. This was done by supporting the mobile phone application by connecting to an Internet database that is protected by the MD5 security algorithm and the SHA256 security algorithm.

This thesis also reviews the five-year learning cycle that has been computerized based on the textbooks of the primary stage of primary schools in Iraq. This is based on research and thinking, and is therefore concerned with the development of students' thinking and practical skills. The students themselves investigate, Education by integrating the concept of e-learning on the phone platforms with the five-year course and integration functions to create a secure environment for these systems when accessed by students who are able to access their accounts efficiently anywhere anytime.

It was on Wednesday 18/4/2018 and on the discussion room in the department. The discussion committee was composed of: Dr. Yusra Hussein Ali and Dr. Shaima Hamid Shaker from the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department And Dr. Khalid Ali Hussein from Al Mustansiriya University / Faculty of Education and in the presence of the student supervisor (Dr. Soukaina Hassan Hashem).

- The student Mariam Taha Sulaiman obtained her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis (Suggested Arabic voice Captcha). The proposed Arabic Captcha includes Arabic pronunciation and presentation in an audio clip with a confusing background to the user. User is to rewrite what was read or heard. If the user is a real person and passes the test, the service will be processed by the website, otherwise access to the available service will not be granted and another voice test will be provided. This process continues until the correct answer is given by the user. In the proposed system, the test is generated as a random series of bits using a number of semi-random generators. The required number of bits is determined according to the number of symbols needed to distinguish. The group of Arabic symbols (letters and numbers) is converted to be concatenated with some distortions and effects to confuse attempts to penetrate the system

This was on Thursday 5/4/2018 and on the discussion hall in the department. The discussion committee was composed of Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdel Wahab and Dr. Maysaa' Abd Ali Khader from the University of Technology / Computer Sciences and Computer Science, Dr. Haider Khadum Humoud from Al Mustansiriya University, Faculty of Education, Department of Computer Science.
