- The students of the Department of Computer Science began the preliminary study for the stages (second, third and fourth) with the exams for the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023 according to the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the directives of the Presidency of the University of Technology, where the head of the Department of Computer Science, Professor Dr. Assistant Dr. Noha Jamil Ibrahim to review the course of the examination process in the department. Where all the necessary requirements for the success of the exams were provided in order to enable the students to perform their exams without obstacles.

- The Department of Computer Science, in cooperation with the Istiqama Student Association, organized a symposium entitled "The Importance and Knowledge of University Life" by Lecturer Dr. Muhammad Abdel-Wahhab in the discussion hall in the building of the Department of Computer Science on Monday 16/1/2023. In celebration of the students of the first stage and in the presence of the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Professor Dr. Alia Karim Abdul Hassan and the administrative assistant, Dr. Bashar Saadoun, and the director of the Division of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations, a good teacher, Walaa al-Din Khairy. The symposium stressed the need for mutual respect among students to prevail among them. The components of personality building were touched upon, starting from choosing the scientific specialization of the student, building a religious system, and building political awareness. Knowing the truth and falsehood, not being drawn into social networking sites, how to choose a friend according to special criteria, clarifying the concept of mixing according to Islamic regulations, and adhering to modest dress. The university student’s relationship with society was discussed as a higher value, his relationship with his teachers, and the difference between school and university.

- Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan from the Department of Computer Science received three books of thanks and appreciation from the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, in appreciation of his distinguished efforts in publishing three solid scientific research within Clarivate containers for the first research tagged A String Matching Algorthem For Automatic Analysis Of Pathological Reports And the second search tagged Enhancement Of The CAST Block Algorithm Based On Novel S-Box For Image Encryption And the third search tagged Synchronization and Different Patterns in Network Of Diffusively Coupled Elegant Wang-Zhang-Bao Circuits. We hope that he will do more to serve our university and our beloved race.

- In the presence of the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdel Hassan, the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Branch, Dr. Mustafa Jassim, and members of the Academic Board, the branch held a meeting of the General Assembly on Thursday 12/1/2023 in the meeting room of the Department of Computer Science. The meeting dealt with the most important preparations made by the branch to receive the first semester exams for the academic year 2022-2023. This meeting is one of a series of meetings held by the branches with their members.

- The Department of Computer Science organized the scientific workshop tagged "Application of Iraqi Standards for the Quality of Educational Laboratories, Second Edition / 2022" for the lecturer, Quality Consultant / Certified Chief Auditor, Majed Ahmed Ali, on Thursday 12/1/2023 in the discussion hall in the building of the Department of Computer Science and in the presence of the Director of the Laboratory Division, a teacher Assistant Atheer Rahim and laboratory officials in the department. The workshop aims to fully explain the axes included in the national standards for the quality of educational and research laboratories and how to apply the paragraphs of each axe in addition to the documentation requirements according to the procedural methods indicated for each axe and the courses required to be implemented for the cadres and employees of all department laboratories.
