- The head of the Network Management Branch in the Department of Computer Science, Prof. Dr. Shaima Hameed participated in the first international conference for computer science and applied sciences with scientific support by the IEEE International Foundation represented by its branch in Iraq and held at Al-Mustansiriya University / College of Education / Computer Science Department for the period From 18-19 December 2019 and she got a certificate of participation in it.

- In the presence of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Prof. Dr. Alia Karim Abdul Hassan, the Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Sukina Hassan Hashem, and the Administrative Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Ayad Roudan and the teachers in the department, faculty members and postgraduate students, the Department of Computer Science held a workshop entitled "How to write a thesis and method of presenting the topic" to the lecturer Prof. Sadeq Yousef from the Environmental Research Center on Wednesday 19/2/2020 and in the discussion hall in the department. The workshop dealt with the correct linguistic methods and sound rules to be followed in writing theses and theses especially for graduate students and how to arrange theoretical research chapters and the selection of short and meaningful texts in the thesis or thesis and avoid linguistic and grammatical errors in the English language and urged professors supervisors to follow the graduate student step by step to show the message Or thesis in a decent form and inferred the lowest proportions.

- TThe Educational Guidance Unit in the Department of Computer Science held a meeting with the first stage students / the Networks Branch on Monday 24/2/2020 and on the discussion hall in the section and in the presence of the Head of the Networks Branch Assistant Professor Dr. Shaima Hameed Shaker and teacher Yasser Munther and the Director of the Educational Guidance Unit teacher Alaa Abdel Hussein And the members of the Educational Guidance Committee. The meeting started with a welcome speech from the branch president for the first stage students, then several topics were discussed, including:
- Corona virus and awareness campaign against the disease and its ways of spreading.
- teachers cooperated with students to compensate for the lost lectures and achieve reasonable achievement rates.
- Focus on the scientific side.
- Emphasis on adhering to modest attire on campus.
- The dates of the first semester exams.
- Voting on the stage representative and defining his powers as the link between the administration and students.
- Involving students in cultural activities, volunteer campaigns, and sports activities.
- The role of the Educational Guidance Unit in addressing the problems facing students.
