The faculty member in Computer Science, who is also the head of the Training and Rehabilitation Unit/Employment and Rehabilitation Branch, Assistant Lecturer Manar Musab, under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Muayad, the Director of Studies and Planning, participated in the Global Entrepreneurship Week from 13-19 November 2023, held in the Computer Engineering department. The fifth and final day concluded with the distinguished presence of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmad Mohammad Hassan Al-Ghban, and the Assistant President of the University of Technology for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Khawla Salah. The event featured an Employment Exhibition Festival at the University of Technology, showcasing patents and outstanding projects from various departments and scientific centers at the university, as well as participation from several private sector companies in different fields.

Under the supervision of the Head of the Computer Science Department, Professor Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, a volunteer campaign was organized to plant seedlings and roses in the gardens of the Computer Science Department, with the participation of the teaching assistant, Dr. Suhair Muhammad Zaki, and a number of students from the Information Systems Branch, third stage. This campaign comes to introduce the environmental importance of plant cultivation as part of a series of volunteer work held in the department and aims to encourage the spirit of volunteer work among our dear students.

The thesis aims to propose a multi-stage encryption system to ensure greater confidentiality of medical images. The level of confidentiality can be increased by using multiple chaotic maps. The Department of Computer Science discussed the PhD thesis titled 'Object detection and encryption of video in cloud using deep learning or DNA coding' by the student (Asmaa Hassan Mohsen) in Computer Science / General, on Monday, 2023/11/27, in the discussion hall of the Computer Science Department building. The thesis aims to detect the object in the video and encrypt it using DNA encoding. This thesis discusses computer vision to employ deep learning to extract the largest number of features.
