The Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, attended the launch ceremony of the accreditation standards for Colleges of Science, organized by the National Council for the Accreditation of Science Specialization Programs, on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the University of Baghdad. During the ceremony, it was highlighted that "the importance of accreditation standards may still be unknown to some of the public, but for specialists, they hold great significance as they will bring about a leap in the quality of education, which will positively impact our students in various ways."

The Head of the Computer Science Department, Prof. Dr. Alaa Kazem Farhan, attended a workshop organized by the University of Technology on the role of the Prime Minister in advancing military industries and his vision to enhance cooperation between the academic community and the military manufacturing sector. The workshop was attended by His Excellency Mustafa Ati Hassan, Head of the Military Manufacturing Authority, the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghabban, along with the scientific and administrative assistants, department heads, center directors, faculty members, and staff. The event took place in the conference hall of the Electromechanical Engineering Department.
