A Master's thesis in the Department of Computer Science discusses speaker separation in multi-speaker environments for human-computer interaction.
The Department of Computer Science at the University of Technology discussed the Master's thesis titled "Isolating Speakers in Multi-Speaker Environments for Human-Computer Interaction" by the student Liqaa Fadhel Mohi (Computer Science / General) on Monday, 2024/9/23, in the late Dr. Imad Kazem's hall.
The thesis aims to present an integrated system for isolating speakers' voices in multi-speaker environments to enhance the user experience in human-technology interaction. The system demonstrated high efficiency in separating speakers' voices from overlapping environments, showing significant improvements in isolation results, which justify its effectiveness and importance in improving sound isolation quality. The superior performance of the system highlights its role in advancing sound isolation technologies to enhance human-computer interaction.
The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Khalid Ali Hussein as the chairperson, with members Prof. Dr. Rana Fareed Ghani, Assist. Prof. Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi, Prof. Dr. Alia Kareem Abdulhassan as a member and supervisor, and Dr. Heba Basim Alwan as a member and supervisor.
