Victory Day Celebration
On the occasion of the celebrations of our great Iraqi people and the wonderful victories achieved by our security forces and our popular crowd in the battlefields and within the celebrations of the University of Technology on Victory Day the Department of Computer Sciences celebrated on Thursday, 14/12/2017 By reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the spirit of the Department's Martyr (Ali Bashir) and to all who sacrificed their lives for Iraq.

A training course on modern scientific models
A lecturer from the Department of Computer Sciences. Dr. Maha Abdel Karim Hamoud gave a training course at the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology entitled (Modern Scientific Models in Determining the Size of Purchase Orders) for the period (10-14 / 12/2017). The course was attended by a number of employees of the National Drilling Company of the Ministry of Oil / South Oil Branch.

A seminar entitled (The algorithm of pupil discrimination based on the extraction of the feature of determining the direction of view)
The Department of Computer Science held a seminar entitled "The algorithm of pupil identification based on drawing the direction of the perspective." presented by Dr. Hana Mohsen and the PhD student Salami Hamidi Monday 8/12/2017 on the discussion room in the building of the department.
The seminar was attended by the head of the department. Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and the members of the Scientific Committee and a large number of students and researchers, It is worth mentioning that this research participated in the sixth annual conference for information and communication, which was held in the Sultanate of Oman and was admired by researchers becuase it is the first of its kind in Iraq. The idea of research is to provide the opportunity for people with special needs who lost their hands, for example by using the eye view instead of pressing the keyboard in the mobile phone to contact people or perform other activities.

Master thesis discussion for the student Suha Mohammed Salih
The student (Suha Mohammed Saleh) obtained a master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences from the University of Technology for her thesis (Region of Interest Detection Using Scale Invariant Descriptor in Horizontal and Vertical Direction) Thursday, 7/12/2017 in the discussion hall in the Department of Computer Sciences, The discussion Committee composed of Prof. Asst. Dr. Matheel Emad El-Din and Prof. Asst. Dr. Rana Farid of the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology. Dr. Samer Said Issa from Al-Rafidain College / Department of Computer Science.
