By the supervision of the president of the university of technology Dr. Amine Douai Thamer, with the presence of Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab Head of Computer Sciences Department on (Tuesday, May 2, 2017) held a lecture entitled "E-Government Security and its Role in the Service of the Society" at Dr. Emad Kadhum Hall. presented by Dr. Hassanein Sameer, Dr. Alaa Kadhum, Dr. Abeer Tarek and Lect. Enas Tariq. The seminar was attended by a large number of professors and researchers.

1. Introducing the department's employees to the basic concepts, types and infrastructure of e-government and it's benifits to society.
2. Review all types of attacks that may be exposed to e-government service sites.
3. Review of the citizen e-Government Model in Iraq.

In conclusion, the lecture explained that it is necessary to educate citizens about the concept of e-government and its future importance in serving the community and the possibility of developing methods and techniques used in the protection of e-government.

The Educational and Health Guidance Unit in the departments held a seminar on Sunday 2/4/2017 at 12 PM at the hall of the late Dr. Imad Kadhum. In the presence of the Head of Department. Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and Dr. Abdul Mohsen Jaber Abdul-Hussein Head of Educational Guidance Unit in the Department and the Registrar of the Department Lect. Yasser Munther and the branches heads, the seminar discussed the following topics:

3. Taking care of the status of students in the internal departments and to consolidate the values of community coexistence and not to use cameras in them.

5. Support our valiant armed forces and the popular crowd.
6. Commitment to suitable clothes.
7. Infectious diseases and how to prevent them.
8. Caring for students with special needs.
9. Education against terrorist ideology.
10. Using of social media.
11. Electronic fraud.
12. Commitment to official time.

Department of Computer Sciences concluded the cultural season with a discussion seminar titled "Language and Computer" on the late Dr. Emad Kadhum Hal on Wednesday March 8 2017 by Asst. Lect. Nada Najeel, the seminar aim was to raise awareness of the importance of following the correct rules of the Arabic language and punctuations and came up with recommendations including: providing free annual sessions provided by specialists in the Arabic language through which existing staff guidance on printing legal letters, the lecture demonstrated the most common mistakes in the official letters and the media, also the correct methods to be followed out the texts of linguistic properly addressed. the seminar has been appreciated by the audience, who enriched the seminar with questions.

According to the implementation of the project of the National rating universities quality the Department of Computer Sciences was visited by the audit committee that was established as directed by the Apparatus of Supervision and Scientific Evaluation, with the presence of Dr. Mustafa Kamel, director of quality assurance at the university, which has audited the department's files, according to the performance form aspects on Monday Feb 13 2017, The Committee reviewed by a group of professors from the University of Baghdad, at all primitives provided by the Division of quality and university performance in the department and under the direct supervision of an internal committee formed up for this purpose under the chairmanship of the President of the Department of Computer Sciences Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and the membership of the Scientific Associate Dr. Aliaa' Karem, the administrative associate Dr. Ayad Roudhan, Director of Quality Division Dr. Maha Abdel Karim, Asst. Director Thamer Abdul Rahim, Asst. Lect. Saif Bashar the department website developer, researcher Noor Monem and Asst. Prog. Fadel Abbas, the Committee has expressed admiration for the evidence presented of the form aspects and accuracy regulation in place in the department as priorities presented by the department with high degree of satisfaction achieved with respect to many of the special form of scientific aspects as more than a hundred researches has been published during the academic year 2016-2015.

The Department of Computer Sciences held a seminar titled (Digital Image Processing and the advantage of its accuracy in the medical field) by the lecturer Farah Tawfiq on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 the seminar reviewed the possibilities of different techniques in digital image processing and the possibility of its demployment in various scientific fields effectively and ensure accuracy in the results and recommend the development of methods and techniques used in the diagnosis, and update the software used to ensure getting the best results.
