The Computer Sciences Department has processed a scientific conference discussing green computing technology in the presence of the university’s president scientific assistance Dr. Alaa abdul Hussein Atia on Sunday 2016-02-28 at the main department’s hall. Green Computing is the title of the conference under the sponsor of the dean of the department Dr Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and the dean of Communication Engineering Department at the University of Technology Prof. Dr. Emad Al Husseiny with several audiences, academic staff, administration staff at the department, university’s other department’s staff and undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The conference has established the major concepts of green computing and its role on supporting world environmental efforts in order to reduce risks rises from using huge amount of computers and their effects in which , they transforms to be friendly environment devices.

1. Several virtual systems that runs in least amount of devices where it would reduce the amount of devices and running costs.
2. The software that participate on lowering power usages likewise screens shut after a while.

The conference imposes the major targets of using green computing are reducing the environmental harmful materials and to encourage the perfect use of the computing systems and its supplies in a safe manner in terms of reducing the amount of power used and buying devices that certified as friendly environment. The conference has observed companies that support and actually use green computing. The researchers were presented this conference included department’s dean assistance Dr. Aliaa Kareem Abdul Hasan, MSc Simaa Hasan and programmer assistance Omar Madeeh.

Prof. Dr. Amin Douai Thamer - president of the University of Technology opened a scientific symposium entitled "The role of information technology in the transition to a digital and translation mechanism institutions." The symposium aimed to familiarize the audience with two main components:

• The first Axis: - Identify the role of information technology in the transition towards a digital society and the impact of information and communication technology to gain access to knowledge-based economy and the development of e-learning.
• The second axis: to identify the types of machine translation based on rules such as translation, translation and statistical translator based on the examples and translation and hybrids definition to present the advantages and disadvantages of each of these types.

The symposium, which was ran by Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi, begin by president of the University of Technology' speech : - , " many of the state institutions is heading to the University of Teechnology , this indicates that the fruits of the efforts of four years of continuous efforts." A lecture at the seminar was delivered by Dr. Rahim Saheb Okla /Director of the Center for Information Technology and Communications. The other axis at the symposium was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Suhad Mal Allah Kazem and Dr. Esraa Abdel Amir Abdul-Jabbar. The symposium was held on Wednesday 2016-01-13 in the Hall of Dr. Emad Kazem Jabbar in the Department of Computer Sciences and the presence of the head of the Department of Computer Sciences Assistant Professor Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and Dr. Alia Kareem Abdul-Hassan and Dr. Ayad Roudhan Abbas and the heads of branches and number of employees of the department and teachers.

Department of Computer Sciences has established a scientific symposium entitled "The Foundations of Multimedia and its role in the Media." This symposium consists of two parts and discussed the following concepts :

• The Concept of Multimedia
• What is the New and Traditional Media
• Ways the New Media
• The Relationship between traditional and new Media outlets
• The Phenomena that accompanied the new Media

The seminar was held by both: Assistant Professor Dr. Yousra Hussein and the Assistant Lecturer Mona Ghazi . The seminar was held at the hall of Dr. Emad Kazem Jabbar on Sunday 2016-01-03 and in the presence of administrative and the scientific department assistants and a number of faculty and graduate students.

Department of Computer Sciences has established a scientific symposium entitled "Web Services and Personalization" delivered by the Assistant Professor Dr. Rihab Falieh Hassan, and Dr. Esraa Tahseen Ali. The seminar included the following topics :

• Web Services
• Web Application
• Web Personalization

The seminar was held on Sunday 2015-12-13 at the Hall of discussions in the Department of Computer Sciences and in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and Dr. Aliaa Karim Abdul Hassan and a number of heads of branches and the teaching staff and students.

The Department of Computer Sciences held a scientific symposium in the presence of the Head of Department. Dr. Hala Bahjat Abdul Wahab and Scientific Assistant Dr. Alia Karim Abdul-Hassan and a number of teachers and staff of the department, at the hall of the late Dr. Imad Kazim Jabbar in the deartment at 12 o'clock on Sunday 2015-11-22 The seminar was entitled "Multimedia and Rapid E-Business Development Using Web Technologies" Asst. Lect. Hassan Fallah Hassan and included the following topics:
