- The President of the University of Technology honors the lecturers in the Computer Science Department. The president of the University of Technology , Prof. Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghban, honoured A constellation of lecturers in the Computer Science Department, participating in the training course on the management of electronic examinations through the Canvas platform on Wednesday, 2021/2/10 and in the presence of the members of the University's approved Council and the head of the Computer Science department.

- The Computer Science Department's football team beat the Control and Systems Engineering Department team with a score (4-2) for the Computer Science Department team in the University of Technology Football Championship, first round, today, Tuesday, 2/9/2021, on the university’s stadium, to qualify for the second round.

- On Monday, 08/02/2021, Students of the first stage from the Network Administration Branch in the Computer Science Department, visited the Information Technology Center at the University of Technology; to see the center and the nature of the services it provides to the university. They were welcomed by the Director of the Information Technology Center, Dr. Ghassan Bilal Al-Sultani, who provided them with useful advice for their journey. The study was followed by a lecture given by assistant lecturer Muhammad Sabah Rashid and assistant lecturer Hassan Hadi. The lecture dealt with many topics, including maintenance, communications and server management. This visit is one of the many visits that students of the Computer Science Department make to the University of Technology centers in order to develop themselves and keep up with modern technology.

- The President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, nominated Prof. Alya Karim Abdel-Hassan, the Head of the Computer Science Department, to be honored in Al-Zahra’a, The Creative Cultural Forum held by Al-Zahra’a University of the General Secretariat of the Husseini Holy Mosque for the period from (3-5) February 2021 under the patronage of Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai and the management of Prof. Dr. Zainab Abdel-Hussein Al-Mulla Soltani, President of Al-Zahra’a University under the slogan (Al-Zahra’a Enlightening guidance and ideal lifestyle) It was concluded on the third day of the meetings and for a look at the Master of Guardians Hall, where creative and distinguished women leaders were honored according to the disciplines of Scientific contributions, the ability for leadership, administrative sides, contributions and distinction in the guiding aspect, religious guidance and the reality of health. Among the objectives of the forum is to spread Fatimid culture to confront Western culture, to support women to fulfill their roles, by honoring them in various fields, to enhance the cultural aspect that raises the Muslim girl with it, and to develop the scientific capabilities of the university.
