The Committee of Industrial Experts in the Department of Computer Science held its first regular meeting for the academic year 2023-2024, in the presence of the Chairman of the Committee, Scientific Associate, Prof. Dr. Abeer Tariq Mawlood, the membership of the Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, rapporteurs, teacher Nada Najeel, the director of the Graduate Follow-up Unit, teacher Simaa Hassan Aziz, and a member of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, Eng. R. Engineers Dalia Tariq Khudair and Maryam Firas Kazem, representative of the Network Horizon Company, on Thursday 11-16-2023. During the meeting, the committee’s bylaws were read, and it was agreed to amend them. Proposals were also discussed about the possibility of holding free and developmental courses for students and graduates of the Computer Science Department, and future cooperation prospects between the Computer Science Department and Network Horizon Company were discussed.

The Administrative Assistant in the Department of Computer Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Bashar Saadoun Mahdi, attended the opening of the new sports season 2023-2024 with the launch of the university football championship for students, which was opened by the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, and organized by the Student Activities Department at the university stadium with the participation of (16) teams. They represent the scientific and engineering departments, in the presence of the Head of the Control and Systems Engineering Department, Professor Dr. Azad Rahim, and the assistants of the scientific and engineering departments.

Teaching Assistant Lecturer Wissam Mahmoud participated in the Metro program of the Lead Your Journey station, through which professors are introduced to how to address and discuss the problems that students face after they graduate and work in the private sector and present many constructive ideas and solutions to help students develop their skills during their university life to enter the labor market.
