Master Thesis discussion for the student Husam Imad
The student Hussam Emad Abdul Razzaq received his master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for his thesis entitled "Robust Authorization Based on Multi Biometric Techniques". In this thesis he proposed a multi-finger biometric identification system that integrates facial and palm veins at the level of characteristics, The two systems used are two non-palms. The proposed system consists of two phases. The first is the processing stage, which contains a proposed algorithm for the discovery of the important palm region, and the second is a proposed neural network structure, consisting of two sub-networks that are identical with the total And the task of compressing the data and extracting the characteristics. The two sub-networks are then merged together to perform the integration of the properties. In addition, a new matching function has been proposed. Two biometric systems have been applied, one for face and one for palm veins, to compare and indicate the superiority of the proposed multi-finger biometric system. It was on Thursday 27/12/2018 at the discussion room in the department. The discussion committee consisted of Prof. Ahmed Tareq Sadiq and Dr. Abdel Amir Abdullah of the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department, Prof. Bilal Ismail Khalil from Al Anbar University, Department of Computer Science, in the presence of the student supervisor (Dr. Nidaa' Fleih Hassan).

Discussion of Master student Zainab Hashim Fattouhi
The student Zainab Hashim Fattouhi received her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis titled (System for identifying the retina based on the machine learning descriptor). The proposed system benefited from two of the characteristics of the local characteristics effective for detecting and extracting the characteristics of the retina in order to use These characteristics indicate the identity of the person. The proposed identification system consists of three stages: extraction of the vascular pattern in the retina, extraction of local characteristics and matching of these characteristics. The stage of the extraction of blood vessels was done using many techniques of filtering and cutting images to produce a binary image consisting of blood vessels only so that the algorithm can be implemented to extract the characteristics proposed later. For the extraction phase, an algorithm was proposed to extract the properties of the retina, which is the combination of two local descriptors, SURF and BRISK. The features of these two descriptors were used to produce a faster and more accurate extraction algorithm than the classical descriptors, These features are important for real-time applications, which usually require rapid processing of an increasing amount of data. For the matching phase, FANN was used to match the properties extracted with the properties in the database. This was on Tuesday, 18/12/2018, and on the discussion room in the building of the department. The discussion committee was composed of Prof. Dr. Aliaa Karim Abdel Hassan and Prof. Nada Falih Hassan from the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department And Prof. Dr. Raghd Abdel Aziz from the University of Baghdad / Ibn Rushd College of Education / Department of Computer Science / Department of Computer Science in the presence of the supervisor of the student (Dr Matheel Emad Eddin Abdel Moneim).

Discussion of the Master Thesis of the student Ola Basil
The student (Ola Bassil Abdel Wahab) received her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis (monitoring the Internet activities of smart devices)
The purpose of this proposed system is to monitor children and other users of smart phones and protect them from the dangers of certain Internet activities that may have psychological or educational effects on them. The proposed system is designed to monitor websites visited by the virtual browser installed on smartphones The user (VC) as well as the geographical location of that child / users as well as monitoring more than one user at the same time and distinguish them by knowing the IP address of the user's smartphones. This system also shows the location on the map in an app installed on the smartphone of the administrator to help the administrator discover the location of the VC geographically and digitally. The discussion committee was composed of Prof. Abdel Moneim Saleh Rahma and Dr. Abeer Tariq Mawled (from the University of Technology / Computer Sciences Department), Dr. Ahmed Hashim Mohammed, from Al Mustansiriya University, College of Education, Department of Computer Science, in the presence of the student supervisor (Dr. Rehab Fleih Hassan).

Discussion of the Master Thesis of the student Ayat Omar Farouk
the student Ayat Farouk obtained her master's degree from the Department of Computer Sciences / University of Technology for her thesis entitled "Human Skin Color Detection using Machine Learning Techniques" The discovery of the color of human skin is one of the most important techniques in image processing and is widely used in many Applications such as face detection, manual detection and human presence detection. However, there are problems affected by the color of the skin due to different lighting, different races of people, camera specifications, characteristics of individuals. Many researchers have tried to solve skin color problems by applying clear rules based on specific ranges of skin tone. Although it is fast and easy to implement, it fails to provide enough information to identify all human skin tones. Face and hand detection is used in a wide range of applications such as human-computer interaction and biometric measurements. There are many image-based techniques that are effective at detecting the face, such as eigen-faces and neural networks. It was on Wednesday 12/12/2018 and on the discussion room in the building of the department. The discussion committee was composed of (Dr. Alia Karim Abdel-Hassan and Dr. Abdel-Amir Abdullah Karim) from the University of Technology / Department Computer Sciences and Dr. Khalid Ali Hussein from Al Mustansiriya University / Faculty of Education / Computer Science Department in the presence of the student supervisor (Dr. Ayad Roudan Abbas).
